Awful.

The outside pool area

The rooms are discusting! Dirty covered in ants, and lizards. Bed sheets dirty and stained. Breakfast discusting. Not a nice seating area. Pool water also awful.

What was the highlight of Heritage By Night Hotel

Well-placed hotel with helpful staff.

The staff were super helpful and allowed us to check in VERY early. They were also eager to help us with any questions about the area. The pool was clean and the view was spectacular.

The shower was a bit cold and the hotel is a bit dilapidated. There’s not much to say about the breakfast.

Location of the pool.

Pool water wasn't clean, perhaps because it's off season...but we couldnt swim for the reason. And surprisingly, staff at the tiki hut didn't allow me sit by the pool for breakfast..kinda forced me inside while everyone was allowed to have breakfast anywhere. When they were fine with my friend sitting n calling me outside, I asked the reason they didnt let me sit there earlier and they had no specific answer

Good location in Phong Nha

Fine hotel and friendly staff. Rooms were big and convenient. Perfectly located in Phong Nha village.

Bathroom was not 100% clean. Breakfast was boring and nothing special.

Our room was located at the front of the hotel and was very...

Our room was located at the front of the hotel and was very comfortable. The bathroom was big but some of the white grouting is staining the black bathroom tiles. The pool was very big and was clean with a lovely view of some of the mountains right in the backyard.The staff were very friendly and respectful of guests privacy. The breakfast was basic but made to order. It’s on the main street but set back from the road so is very quiet. It’s good value for money and you can’t expect the Ritz Carlton for $56US for three nights stay.

The owner of the hotel needs to be spending more on the upkeep of the gardens out the back by the pool. There is a new hotel being constructed next door but this did not cause any disturbances to us.

Nice staff and confortable beds

Breakfast option is only bread and eggs. The eggs were so bad, like if they had put water in them.. terrible. There is a Construction site next door so it’s noisy when you are at the pool, that by the way, was green.

Horrible experience

The location.

Ants inside the bed and all over the room, leaks in the corridor, dumps on the walls, we saw several rats in the garden (something extended all over the town), the water of the pool was green during our stay. Lack of cleaning. Urge an important reform.

Location was very good.

We had no breakfast before the tour because they were too slow in the restaurant.

Terrible BEDS and damp

The pool, facilities, location and very friendly bar staff.

Not to be dramatic but I’ve been travelling south east Asia for over 3 months and stayed in uncomfortable dorm beds for three quarters of the price were better than these beds... the floor was comfier . Also switched rooms 3 times due to damp mould taking over half the room. However may have just been given bad set of rooms so could’ve just been my bad luck. Felt like I’d wasted a lot of money.

Filthy, not as shown in photos, do not stay here

Not much - really wouldn't recommend.

This place is filthy, doesn't resemble the photos on the website in any way. We were greeted by a dead moth and a whole load of live ants on the floor. There were also ants all over one of the beds. In general most areas were dirty, with visible cobwebs and dust everywhere, the sink and toilet and shower were very grimy and the walls looked mouldy. I'd say the room is never given a basic clean. The sheets were also dirty, with numerous brown patches, and the pillows had mould /mildew on them. We complained to the staff who didn't seem surprised at all, she moved us to another room which was much better in terms of cleanliness and reflected the pictures on the website - obviously this is their showroom and is kept to a clean enough standard.
